ABOUT LISA
Originally a Chicago native, in 2010 I decided to quit my job, sell most of my belongings and make the solo move to lovely Fort Collins, Colorado. I now happily reside here with my husband, and two little ones.
I have always had a very vivd and wild imagination and a deep passion for creating. I am a lover of all things moody and spooky and I am notorious for getting caught in the daydream…typical Pieces. Art has always been a way for me to express the deeper parts of myself and having a creative outlet is a crucial part of my well being. It truly is what sets my soul on fire! Be it through phototrophy, interior design, music or tending to my indoor jungle… I love bringing new life and perspective to people and spaces. I am humbled daily that I have the opportunity to be a professional artist and I never take that for granted. Photography has allowed me to bridge my passions so beautifully and I am so grateful to have the ability and space to create.
MY PHOTOGRAHY JOURNEY
My photography journey began in college back in 2002 and has since evolved so much through the years. I discovered my love for boudoir and portrait photography in 2017 when I began to realize how empowering it was to both myself and the individuals who stepped in front of my camera. The connections that I have made through this journey have been absolutely life changing.
I have seen first hand, time and time again, the sheer power of these sessions. I am in love with helping others recognize the power and beauty that they possess and I love encouraging people to take up space and show up in the world as their beautiful and amazing self. I now dedicate much of my life to the empowerment of others through photography and community building. Along with photography, I have a deep passion for interior design. I truly believe that our environment has an enormous effect on our mood, relationships, motivation and creativity and because of this I have always been very inspired by it. Photography has allowed me to bridge my passion for art and design so beautifully
This has been, and continues to be, such a transformative and creative journey.

Carissa is the owner of The Stardust Stylist and has been our primary hair and makeup artist since we opened our doors in 2019. From full glam to natural, she can do it all! She also specializes in vintage looks and is literally a vintage queen in general.
We are beyond lucky to have her at Dark Moon Studio.

Jessie is the owner of Alegria Beauty which is one of Colorado’s top hair and makeup services for weddings and special events. She is best known for her beautiful natural, everyday looks. Jessie also hosts AMAZING makeup and skincare workshops here in the studio that you should absolutely have on your radar!. We are so excited to have her as apart of our glam squad.

Be it boudoir, branding, maternity or editorial, your experience matters to us. We take extreme care in all the little details involved in your session so that you are experiencing so much more than amazing photos. .
Our studio hosts an ever changing variety of sets, client wardrobe and private changing room, hair and makeup space, and a separate viewing area. We are located on the top floor of our building with lots of privacy, natural light and beautiful mountain views.
